Senior Business Analyst

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and documenting business flows, UI & system requirements and recommending improvements including: translating product ideas and user feedback into functional specifications across the full project lifecycle on small, medium and large projects or portions of a major project/program.  The right candidate will have an excellent track record of understanding client organization needs and creating  functional specifications and system design specifications.
Position Summary

  • Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client’s organization and industry.
  • Identifies client organization’s strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
  • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
  • Develops functional specifications and system design specifications for client engagements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work directly with Business Partners, Director of Product Development/UI Designer/Development and Quality teams to identify needs that require a technical solution.
  • Translate product ideas and user feedback in a “package” ready for development.
  • Conduct analysis and document Business Flows, UI requirements, System Requirements.
  • Create specifications that result in functionally accurate products that are simple, intuitive and user friendly.
  • Communicate orally and in writing with Business Partners, Project Management Development and QA teams concerning requirements.
  • Participate in product validation to confirm product was delivered according to specifications & provide feedback to Dev & QA as needed to resolve issues and improve our process.
  • Create and Maintain Technical Documentation to include but not limited to: Requirements, FRDs, Test Plans, implementation and user guides.
  • Collaborate with UI and brand design resource to include UI and graphical requirements into “package” for development.

  • Understanding of Database Structures – Best Practices
